Troubleshooting Common Issues
Having trouble? Here are solutions to the most common issues.
Generation Issues
Generation is taking too long
Page generation typically takes 1-2 minutes. If it's been more than 5 minutes:
- Check your internet connection
- Refresh the page and try again
- If the problem persists, try with simpler inputs (fewer features selected)
"An unexpected error occurred" message
This usually means a temporary server issue. Try these steps:
- Wait a few minutes and try again
- Refresh the app page
- Clear your browser cache
- If it continues, contact support with details about what you were doing
The generated page doesn't match my inputs
The AI creates unique designs, and results can vary. To get closer to what you want:
- Be specific — Instead of "Modern", try "Clean white background with blue accents and sans-serif fonts"
- Add reference images — Upload screenshots of designs you like
- Use the style field — Describe the exact aesthetic you're looking for
Display Issues
My page looks broken or has missing elements
This can happen if:
- The browser is blocking some content — Try a different browser
- The page didn't fully generate — Go to History and check if the page saved correctly
- There's a CSS conflict — Try opening the page in a new tab for an isolated view
Images aren't showing
If your logo or background images aren't displaying:
- Check that the image uploaded successfully (you should see a preview)
- Make sure the image file isn't too large (keep under 5MB)
- Try re-uploading the image
- Use common formats: JPG, PNG, or WebP
The countdown timer shows wrong time
The countdown uses the launch date you specified. To fix:
- Go back to the Generate tab
- Check the date in the Countdown section
- Make sure you selected the correct date and time zone
Publishing Issues
Can't find the Publish button
The Publish button appears when viewing a generated page:
- Go to the History tab
- Click on the page you want to publish
- The Publish button should appear in the preview area
Page won't publish
If publishing fails:
- Check your Shopify store status — make sure it's active
- Verify you have the required permissions
- Try refreshing the app and publishing again
- Contact support if the issue persists
Published page shows old content
After making edits and publishing:
- Clear your browser cache
- Try viewing the page in an incognito/private window
- Wait a few minutes for changes to propagate
Account Issues
"Credit check failed" error
This means you've used all your page generations for this billing period:
- Go to the Billing tab to check your usage
- Wait for your next billing cycle, or
- Upgrade to a plan with more generations
Can't access the app
If the app won't load:
- Make sure you're logged into Shopify
- Check that your store subscription is active
- Try accessing from a different browser
- Contact Shopify support if the issue is with your store
