How to Publish Your Coming Soon Page

Once you've generated a page you love, here's how to make it live on your Shopify store.

Before You Publish: Enable the App Embed

For your coming soon page to properly redirect visitors, you need to enable the app embed in your theme:

1. Check the Publish Page — If the app embed isn't enabled, you'll see a warning banner with a tutorial video
2. Click "Open Theme Editor" — This takes you directly to your theme's App Embeds section
3. Toggle On "Expresso Coming Soon" — Enable the app embed
4. Save Your Theme — Click Save in the top right corner

The app will automatically detect when the embed is enabled!

Publishing Your Page

1. Navigate to History — Click the History tab in the app navigation
2. Select Your Page — Find the page you want to publish and click on it
3. Review the Preview — Make sure everything looks correct
4. Click Publish — Hit the Publish button to make it live

Your coming soon page will now be accessible to visitors!

Where Will My Page Appear?

Your published page is available at:

https://your-store.myshopify.com/apps/coming-soon

Replace "your-store" with your actual Shopify store name.

Password Protection (Optional)

Want to restrict access? You can add password protection:

1. Open the page you want to protect
2. Enable the Password Protection toggle
3. Set your desired password
4. Share the password only with people you want to have access

Unpublishing a Page

If you need to take your page offline:

1. Go to the History tab
2. Find the published page
3. Click Unpublish

The page will no longer be accessible to visitors.

Replacing Your Coming Soon Page

Ready to launch and want to remove the coming soon page?

1. Simply unpublish the page, or
2. Update your Shopify theme to show your regular storefront

Common Questions

Q: Can I have multiple pages published at once?

Only one coming soon page can be live at a time. Publishing a new page will replace the current one.

Q: Will publishing affect my main store?

No. Your coming soon page lives at a separate URL (/apps/coming-soon). It doesn't replace your main store.

Q: Can I preview before publishing?

Yes! Every generated page shows a preview. You can also click Open in New Tab to see a full-screen preview.
